In the story, The Yellow Wallpaper, by Charlotte Gilman and the poem, Porphyria’s Lover, by Robert Browning, both include a style called mental illness portrays many thoughts and how they evolve in the individual who's dealing with this illness. Mental disease is “a problem that influences your mood and considering behavior” (Mayoclinic). In the Yellow Wallpaper, a health care provider and his wife who's also his sufferer, settles to their new home. Since he's her doctor, he convinces himself that he could cure the “illness” of his wife when actually she was by no means ill to begin with. He reveals his treatment for his wife by the “rest cure” thinking that she'd feel safe that way, when rather it made her condition even worse.
